Pre-purchase surveys are the ultimate growth hack.

Here’s a great example by Cuddle Sleep Health.

I posted a few times about this but collecting customer data at the pop-up level is a real gold mine.

What most brands do:

↳ “Sign up for X% OFF your first order!”

↳ Send a discount code and a bunch of generic emails.

What smarter brands like Cuddle Sleep Health do:

They use their pop-up to ask one simple question.

They take the answer and personalise the welcome experience.

They send a tailored welcome series of email making the customer feel heard before they’ve even checked out.

For example, if someone selects “Difficulty falling asleep,” they receive sleep tips and guidance to build a better routine, before being sold to.

Email isn’t just about sending discounts.

It’s about 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲.

Meta Big Update

The "MASSIVE news" coming out from Meta today... not so massive.

Here's what's rolling out in beta on Feb 10 (to select accounts):

1. ASC Unification

- Advantage PLUS Shopping renamed to Advantage Sales Campaign... love it. We still get to call it ASC

- Everything defaults to ASC (but can STILL access manual controls). NO BIG DEAL! No fundamental change here

- "Opportunities" call outs to try and get you to adopt all Meta-recommended features... ON and OFF switch will show if your at an "Advantage" or NOT based on your setup

- Existing campaigns UNAFFECTED

2. Opportunity Score

- Ads Manager feature that will give you a 0-100 rating based on how optimized your account is.

- Opportunity Score will be displayed front and center to you on the page header

- Actions Column will be present to highlight recommended actions to take ad campaign, ad set, and ad levels.

👉 TLDR: This is not much of an update at all. Meta is just gamifying and using psychologic tactics to induce higher adoption rates of all Meta AI features. This should not change strategy or tactics at all for advertisers.
