Good Morning

Marketing News

Steal my 7 step creative process below:

Here’s how I do it:

PROCESS:

Audit existing creative

→ Review all current ads.
→ Identify what’s working and what’s not.
→ Look for gaps in messaging or visuals or hooks.
Example:
↳ Apparel brand had stale creatives running for 6+ months.
↳ CTR was declining, indicating creative fatigue.
Action:
→ Categorize creatives into high-performing, average, and poor.
Brainstorm New Angles

→ Gather the team for a brainstorming session.
→ Focus on reviews
→Your customer reviews are a goldmine
Example:
↳ Download all reviews in a CSV file and feed them in ChatGPT
↳Ask ChatGPT to categorize these reviews into different types: Good, Bad & Ug;y
↳ Create a mix of videos, carousels, and static images.
Action:
→ Develop at least 5 new concepts.

Develop Creative Briefs

→ Write clear, detailed briefs for each new concept.
→ Include audience pain points
→ Product benefits
Example:
↳ Brief for a new collection launch: emphasize sustainability and comfort.
↳ Target: eco-conscious millennials.
Action:
→ Ensure all stakeholders understand the briefs.
. Produce Creatives

→ Start the production process: design, copywriting, video shooting.
→ Keep it lean
→ Quality matters and so does speed
Example:
↳ Shot new product videos in-house using a smartphone.
↳ Create graphics using Canva.
Action:
→  Launch as soon as humanly possible
→ Make sure the number actually moves
→ Hooray!! You’re halfway there!

Set Up Testing Framework

→ Define testing parameters
→ Monitor key metrics: CTR, conversion rate, hook-rate, hold-rate, ROAS.
Example:
↳ Tested new video ads against old static images for similar angles
Action:
→ Launch tests with small budgets initially.
Analyze Results Quickly

→ After 48 hours, analyze the performance of each creative.
→ Look for patterns: which messages and visuals resonate most
Example:
↳Us vs Them video outperformed static images
↳My Tech Stack: Motion; Triplewhale

Action:
→Analyse winners & losers
That’s it!

If you can manage all that

Rinse and Repeat.

You have a creative production system.

Here are 5 quick techniques to instantly increase your sales:

  • 1️⃣ Use a mix of social proof formats, don’t just rely on testimonials.

2️⃣ Switch to implementing a call to value (CTV) instead of a call to action.

3️⃣ Place click triggers around CTVs.

4️⃣ Reframe your price in a more relatable way.

5️⃣ Put a price tag on every element of your offer.

Half-baked thoughts from someone who’s fullt cookin:

#1: New Talent Can't Handle Direct Feedback

New hires entering this space are getting softer with feedback.

Not the "be more resilient" bullshit that never works either

I’m talking basic, professional growth

When I played high level footy and you got feedback it meant they saw potential. They wanted YOU in their system. 99% of the time no feedback meant the door was coming you’re not apart of the plan.

But now constructive criticism is taken like a personal attack.

Share improvement areas and they shut it down.

Offer guidance and they get defensive.

And I love remote work but it’s only making it worse. It’s so easy to get comfortable when you’re working out of your home and this younger generation ACTUALLY needs to actively chase uncomfortable conversations and criticism.

Chances are you’ll never wake up, launch a brand, and hit 8 figures IN your first year.

You’ll need to work under someone first

You’ll need to fuck up and you’ll need to learn how to receive, internalize, and learn from constructive feedback.
